High School Work Weekend "Mission: Honey Creek"

On Friday, March 2nd youth from around the diocese will be meeting at Honey Creek to begin work projects to improve our diocesan camp and conference center: Honey Creek. Each year the youth of our diocese have come together at Honey Creek to paint, clean, tile, clear trails, and do many other projects. In 2005 the floor in the lobby was tiled as well as clearing new walking trails through the wooded areas of the property. Last year we did much work in the dorms. We painted, put up towel bars, changed the curtains, and reupholstered the furniture in the common rooms.

Anyone in grades 9-12 are welcome to take part in this event of service. Adults (21 and over) are also welcome to help in the work, play and chaperoning. The event begins with dinner at 6:30 Friday evening March 2nd and ends after lunch on Sunday, March 4th. You can register by mail, fax or email. The fee for the weekend is $75.00 which includes two nights and 6 meals. You will need to bring your own bed linens and toiletries.
